The Legend of El Chupacabra is a monster-thriller comedy about a nerdy cryptozoologist on the trail of Texas' most famous cryptid, the Chupacabra. It's a throwback comedy inspired by classic 80s films like "The Goonies" and "Gremlins." Filled with non-stop laughs, it's been compared to recent films like "Cocaine Bear" and "The Cabin in the Woods."
This indie comedy punches above its weight with a hilarious cast, sharp writing and an unforgettable creature created by master practical FX artist Sergio Guerra (Face Off: Season One).

Bright Eye Pictures and is a production company located in San Antonio, TX operated by writer/director/producer Rob Mabry. Bright Eye Pictures has produced over twenty short films that have screened in film festivals across the world. BEP films include "Mr. Figmentus," winner of Best Dark Comedy at the Austin Comedy Film Festival and "The Tuckering," winner of multiple festival awards and recently screened at the 2021 San Antonio Film Festival. Bright Eye Pictures aspires to make entertaining films for a wide audience, the type of movies that go great with popcorn and Junior Mints.
